Ohio EPA wants more samples from Rover site after solvent found State says solvent found in samples at Tuscarawas River crossing, wants more testing. Canton Repository (OH) February 16, 2018 BETHLEHEM TWP. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants Rover Pipeline to collect more samples of drilling fluid from the pipeline’s Tuscarawas River crossing site. In a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Friday, Ohio EPA said samples of drilling fluid from the Bethlehem Township site have tested positive for tetrachloroethene (PCE), a solvent. PCE is used for degreasing and dry cleaning, among other applications, according to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.
