Landfill brownfield plan approved By Linda Shepard | Rochester Post (MI) May 1, 2018 ROCHESTER HILLS - Plans are progressing on the construction of a luxury apartment complex on the site of a former illegal landfill. Goldberg Cos. plans to build a 368-unit development on 28 acres at the northeast corner of Hamlin and Adams roads. The complex, named Legacy Rochester Hills, is on property that was used as a commercial landfill in the 1960s and 1970s. Environmental testing has found soil and groundwater contamination, including metals, volatile organic compounds and more.
