Contaminated site cleanup in Nonantum moves forward By Julie M. Cohen Newton TAB (MA) June 2, 2018 Residents have until June 20 to add their comments to a draft plan to analyze and clean up former industrial sites in Nonantum contaminated with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including trichloroethylene (TCE). About 25 people attended a community meeting at Post 440 on Wednesday, where staff from Woodard & Curran, a consultant for Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, the parent company of former property owner TRW, gave an update on work done so far at the sties and offered a look at work to be done in the Phase II Scope of Work (SOW) plan. The investigations are being conducted at former industrial properties located at 459-471 Watertown St. and 320-330 Nevada Street. The other property owner is One Nevada Realty LLC.
