DEP declares former pottery site clear by CRAIG HOWELL Weirton Daily Times (WV) June 3, 2018 CHESTER — Following almost seven years of work, the Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle has reached a milestone with its first major development project. The certificate of completion, issued May 25, validates that the site is now clear of contamination and better suited for future redevelopment. The BDC purchased the former pottery property in July 2011, demolishing much of the factory, rehabilitating the soil and recently constructing a building suited for potential tenants. It was the economic development agency’s first major project in the area. … For the entire article, see http://www.weirtondailytimes.com/news/local-news/2018/06/dep-declares-former-pottery-site-clear/ -- Lenny Siegel Executive Director Center for Public Environmental Oversight a project of the Pacific Studies Center P.O.
