Tests show high levels of TCE in 2 homes near CTS Superfund site WLOS TV-13 News (Western North Carolina) August 22, 2018 ASHEVILLE, N.C - The EPA says tests reveal levels of a dangerous chemical inside some homes near the former CTS Superfund site are above protective standards. The EPA began testing for TCE -- a known carcinogen -- last week inside two homes on the Rice property when outdoor TCE levels increased between mid-July and August.
