Brownfield grant to aid in redeveloping former gas station site in McKinley Township by William T. Perkins Petoskey News (MI) September 30, 2018 PELLSTON - Money from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality will go toward revitalizing a contaminated site along U.S. 31 in preparation for a potential new owner. The site in question is 1302 U.S. 31 in McKinley Township, which was formerly a gas station that fell into disuse. Last month, the Emmet County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority was awarded a $76,200 Brownfield Redevelopment Grant to revitalize and safely reuse the former gas station.
