Homeowners north of Springfield share TCE test results

SPRINGFIELD, Mo -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) tested 146 wells in November and December. There were 30 wells that tested positive for trichloroethylene (TCE) but were within the maximum contamination level (MCL). Three had levels of TCE higher than the MCL.

Everett Kennell has lived in Northern Greene County for many years. His well was tested by the DNR.

Kennell says one neighbor nearby has a well that tested above the MCL.
