Housing development seeks funds through brownfield plan By Kate.Carlson Holland Sentinel (MI) January 21, 2019 HOLLAND - A developer is seeking approval for a brownfield plan to construct several hundred apartment units as part of Kensington Place. The brownfield plan was submitted by SJR Development LLC for property at 2123 Sherwood Ave. and 1884 M-40 for eligible costs reimbursable up to $2.8 million plus local administrative costs. Brownfield status applies to properties where redevelopment or reuse is complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant or contaminant.
