Vapor intrusion in Elmira Heights still an issue, public can get update Wednesday By Jeff Murray Elmira Star-Gazette October 28, 2019 The specter of contamination from a longtime industrial site just outside Elmira Heights has concerned environmental agencies for decades, and this week residents can get an update on an ongoing investigation. ... The EPA placed the former Facet Enterprises site in Elmira Heights on its National Priorities List in 1983 and initiated a cleanup plan at that time.
