By Caroline Reinhardt WISN TV-12 News (Milwaukee, WI) July 24, 2023 GLENDALE, Wis. - Top city and state officials are now answering questions as to how residents were allowed to move into an apartment building before contaminant testing was complete. A week ago, the luxury apartment complex, Lydell Apartments in Glendale, evacuated six units inside building 3 after discovering elevated levels of trichloroethylene (TCE) inside. The city of Glendale issued a temporary occupancy permit for the Lydell Apartments, which sit on an old landfill site, but air quality is not part of city building inspections and oversight.
