INGLESIDE - It's been two months since B.R.A.C. Commissioners decided to close Naval Station Ingleside. Since then local leaders have been trying to decide what's next for the base.

Back in 1985, Corpus Christi almost became the new home port for the U.S.S. Wisconsin. The Wisconsin never came here; instead Naval Station Ingleside took its current form as the Navy's Mine Warfare Center of Excellence.

Ingleside brought in nearly 4,000 jobs, with an economic impact of about 250 million dollars each year. Local business owners say about a quarter of their business came from the Navy, but now it's all going away and Ingleside will have to create a new identity.
