Base closure panel assesses the impact Governor's advisory council holds its first meeting in Brunswick. Christopher Cousins Brunswick Times Record (ME) December 1, 2005 BRUNSWICK - Gov. John Baldacci's Brunswick Naval Air Station closure advisory council spent its first meeting Wednesday catching up on the past and determining what its mission is for the future. Most of the council's 26 members convened at Southern New Hampshire University at Cook's Corner for a three-hour meeting where the major question of the day was not what should be done, but for whom it should be done. "Our central mission is to do some good for the people in this region," said Tony Armstrong, co-chairman of the council, as he opened the meeting. ...
