MELNICHAK Northwest Arkansas Times August 7, 2006 Business offices, preschool classes and a home for the arts are all potential uses for the Leroy Pond Army Reserve Center in Fayetteville after it closes in 2011. The Cultural Arts District Initiative, Veterans Affairs and the Fayetteville Public Schools have all expressed an interest in learning the particulars of how they might take over the reserve center that comprises three buildings on 3 1 / 2 acres at 1616 N. Woolsey St. Susan Thomas, public information officer and policy advisor for the city of Fayetteville and one of three members on the Local Redevelopment Authority, said the property could be used in a variety of ways depending on requests expressed through a formal notice of interest process. ...
