Counties tout assets at BRAC fairBy Henry Cuningham Fayetteville Observer (NC) September 14, 2006 ATLANTA - Michael Tannenbaum, who gets annoyed at having to fly into Raleigh whenever he needs to visit Fort Bragg, wonders whether the Fayetteville area will be prepared when two large headquarters relocate from Fort McPherson by 2011. "Is Fort Bragg going to be ready for 2,500 civilian employees that have to live off post?" he asked. That means everything from expanded services at Fayetteville Regional Airport to attractive houses wired for the latest technology in gated communities, he said. Tannenbaum, who is 49 and wants to work until he is 62, was among droves of federal workers who visited the relocation fair on Wednesday in the flag atrium of the Forces Command headquarters on the Army post in south Atlanta. A similar event will be held today at U.S. Army Reserve Command headquarters. ...
