DeWine aide tours Felicity Armory set to closeBY EMILY CREDITT | FLORENCE COMMUNITY PRESS (OH) February 9, 2006 WASHINGTON TWP. -- Supporters, friends and members of the 216th Ohio National Guard Army Engineering Battalion in Felicity are not giving up the fight to keep their base open and are taking their case to U.S. Senator Mike DeWine. Scott Noyes, regional director for DeWine's Cincinnati office, accompanied Clermont County Commissioner Bob Proud on a tour of the battalion's large facility, which is used to house and repair heavy equipment and provides training space. The base is scheduled to be shut down as a part of a realignment plan developed by the leadership of the Ohio National Guard, sending the 80 troops who train at the facility to a new complex in Woodlawn. ...
