Housing update pleases Topsham LRA

TOPSHAM - Before going into executive session Wednesday to consider hiring an executive director, members of the Topsham Redevelopment Authority were given information about the military housing by a local representative of the firm that manages military housing in Brunswick and Topsham.

At its meeting last month, the authority listed some basic questions for GMH Military Housing. Cindy Vail, local representative for GMH, answered those questions Wednesday.

GMH plans to be in Topsham as long as the Brunswick Naval Air Station is open, she said. The firm's plan is to sell the lease hold property at fair market value, in conjunction with the military's procedure for disposition of the land.
