Dispute over Seneca County Army Depot Joylynn Whitfield WROC-TV 8 News (Rochester, NY) February 22, 2006 The County Industrial Development Agency was in the process of acquiring the land from the army, but when fire struck the deal wasn't finished. ... The County Industrial Development Agency was in the process of buying the warehouse from the army for the county to use for storage, but the Seneca County Attorney says there were delays because of environmental concerns raised by the state. "At the time of the fire, the property had not been transferred to the county and still was owned by the army. The county's IDA has studied the matter, and they're under the opinion that the army may still have some liability for the clean up," said Seneca County Attorney Steven Getman ...
