Task force will study effect of Fort Meade expansion

The Howard County Executive and County Council both will have a say in 
creating a task force to examine how the expansion of Fort Meade will 
affect the county.

County Executive James Robey and council chairman Christopher Merdon 
this week reached a deal to create a task force to review the federal 
Base Realignment and Closure Commission's decision to expand the base, 
which is used by the Army and other military and security agencies.
