Toxic Cleanup Dominates Redevelopment Of Concord Naval Base

CONCORD, Calif. (KCBS)  -- Since the original plan to develop the 
Concord Naval Weapons Station was scrapped earlier this year, the 
Concord City Council has again solicited community input on how to use 
the site.

When the Department of Defense approved the base closure in 2005, the 
council was put in charge of determining how the 5,170-acre property 
would be developed.
