Revised plans for Navy site released Domed roofs and open space added By Dani Dodge SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE (CA) June 20, 2006 Developer Doug Manchester gave redevelopment planners a revised proposal for the Navy Broadway Complex yesterday that changed the silhouette and face of the project but added little public open space. The new plan has 4.8 acres of open space on the 14.7-acre bayfront site in downtown San Diego, one-tenth of an acre more than the last proposal. "It's more about quality of open space than adding more," said Perry Dealy, president of Manchester Development. "We want people to feel they can go down there and feel like they can enjoy themselves with their family and friends." ...
