Univ. submits plan for site Health sciences campus priority By JOE MASON The Red and Black (GA) November 14, 2006 The University's proposal to use land at the Navy School site may conflict with a need to help Athens' homeless. The Local Redevelopment Authority received nine proposals in its public outreach campaign, said Holly Reed, the base reuse coordinator for the authority. Seven of the nine proposals were homeless assistance submissions. Some proposals asked for parts of the Navy Supply Corps School's property. But the University's proposal asked for the entire 58.5-acre site. ...
