Report: Most of KAAP clean 25 percent of grounds require cleanup By Jon Ruhlen Parsons Sun (KS) December 15, 2006 The Army has released the first report on the environmental situation at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant and local officials are satisfied with what it says. Dan Goddard, executive director of the Local Redevelopment and Planning Authority, briefed LRPA board members on the Environmental Condition of Property Report Thursday. The report declares 75 percent of the 13,700 acres at KAAP as clean property. The other 3,400 acres need varying levels of environmental cleanup work to bring them up to Kansas Department of Health and Environment standards. ...
