Cecil Commerce Center in Jacksonville, Florida Designated a Shovel-Ready Megasite by McCallum Sweeney Consulting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 13, 2007) — Criteria used in the selection process included size, access to CSX rail service, adjacency to an interstate, labor force availability, utility infrastructure and satisfactory environmental assessment.

A 1,500-acre portion of Cecil Commerce Center in Jacksonville, Fla., has been designated a shovel-ready megasite by McCallum Sweeney Consulting.

"The megasite certification process is very extensive and requires solid documentation that a community has undertaken the necessary due diligence to get the property under control and assure ease of permitting," said Ed McCallum, senior principal for McCallum Sweeney. "Jacksonville has provided the required proof that the Cecil Commerce Center site is ready for development."
