Bison may graze on prairie at Badger Plant BARRY ADAMS Wisconsin State Journal March 18, 2007The cleanup has a long way to go and it likely will be years before bison and hikers traverse the terrain at the base of the Baraboo Hills. But a major step will be taken today in the redevelopment of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant near Baraboo. Members of the Ho-Chunk Nation along with representatives from the federal government, U.S. Army, state and local historical preservation organizations and government agencies will gather in a ballroom of the Ho-Chunk Casino Hotel & Convention Center. There they will sign a memorandum of agreement that closes out a mandated process to identify, assess and mitigate any adverse effects to historic properties on the 7,300-acre tract of land. ...
