Experts: BNAS reuse not doomed by pollution By DENNIS HOEY Portland Press Herald (ME) April 25, 2007BRUNSWICK - It likely will take years to document the full extent of environmental contamination at Brunswick Naval Air Station, but that should not deter Brunswick from pushing forward with reuse plans, according to experts involved with similar redevelopment efforts around the country. "It is one of the more important issues we are dealing with and certainly one of the more complex," said Marty Wilk, chairman of the Brunswick Local Redevelopment Authority. Because environmental cleanup at the air station could cost millions of dollars, members of the authority decided to host a forum on the issue Tuesday night. ...
