Navy: No shortage of BNAS clean-up funds Seth Koenig Brunswick Times Record (ME) December 13, 2007 BRUNSWICK - A Navy official dealing with base closures said Wednesday night that federal funding for the environmental cleanup of Brunswick Naval Air Station will continue to be a high priority. Greg Preston - deputy director of the Navy Base Realignment and Closure Program Management Office for the Northeast - addressed the Restoration Advisory Board at its Wednesday meeting at Parkwood Inn. The Restoration Advisory Board is a panel mandated by Congress and the Environmental Protection Agency to oversee any commercial or industrial site cleanup, and has been doing so at BNAS for more than 15 years. ...
