Study: BRAC’s impact BY LINDSAY SIMPSON Petersburg Progress Index (VA) December 20, 2007 The report by RKG used a study conducted by Fort Lee last year to determine where the vast majority of those coming to the area might set up their homes. The report said many of the new residents may move to Chesterfield County, especially considering that more than 80 percent of the 13,000 approved developments and lots related to the base expansion are located there. The report is the latest in a series of studies or reports that outline the enormous impact the Base Realignment and Closure process will have on the region. The report says Chesterfield County may gain 809 new households, Prince George County may gain 317 households and Dinwiddie County may get 133 new households. In addition, Hopewell would gain 150 households, Petersburg would gain 217 households and Colonial Heights would gain 166 households. ...
