Base redevelopment group office space, funds approved
Agreement allows new staff to draft report, members say

The Ingleside Local Redevelopment Authority approved funding Monday for 
office equipment for its recently hired project manager and assistant.

The authority is charged with planning the reuse of about 155 surplus 
acres, known as the Electromagnetic Roll Facility, at Naval Station 
Ingleside when the Navy leaves. The Navy is expected to cease operations 
at the facility as early as September.

The group has reached an agreement with San Patricio County for office 
space at T.P. McCampbell Airport Terminal Building. The office will be 
used by the group's project manager, Peter L. Perkins, and his 
assistant, Virginia Rose Collin.

Before approving the space, Nueces County Commissioner and authority 
member Chuck Cazalas voiced his opinion about the office being too small 
for two people and the lack of a conference room in the building.
