Symposium Focuses On BRAC Infrastructure Challenges WBAL-TV 11 News (Baltimore, MD) January 14, 2007 BALTIMORE -- A Base Realignment and Closure program symposium held Monday had Maryland lawmakers looking for solutions to the state's infrastructure challenges. Despite the challenges, Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, the head of the state BRAC subcommittee, said he is optimistic that the state will be ready when the first of some 40,000 to 60,000 BRAC-related jobs come to Maryland. At the Turf Valley Conference Center in Howard County, members of the public and private sector got a status update in a second annual BRAC symposium hosted by regional law firm Miles and Stockbridge. sponsor ...
