I am Lenny Siegel, Project Director of CAREER/PRO and Director, since
1970, of the Pacific Studies Center, in Mountain View, California. Over the
past five years, I have worked as a consulting researcher on the military and
the environment for a number of organizations, ranging from the Military
Toxics Project to the RAND Corporation. I serve on a number of relevant
state and national advisory groups, including the Federal Facilities
Environmental Restoration Dialogue Committee and the California Base
Closure Environmental Advisory Committee. I have been most directly
involved, of course, around issues at Moffett Field (until recently a Naval
Air Station), local electronics companies, and Silicon Valley Defense
contractors.
