Subject: | Goods & Services for Oklahoma City |
This isn't really environment related, however, I thought some of you might like the information. It was sent to me by someone at the Defense Department who thought it might be of interest to the folks on this conference Aimee Houghton A toll-free donated goods and volunteer services number began operations at 9:00 a.m. Saturday April 22. This number will support the continued overflow of calls from the public interested in how they can help relief workers and the families of the bomb victims. The toll-free number operated by Volunteers in Technical Assistance is 1-800-284-0609 and will be staffed from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EDT on a daily basis. During President Clinton's weekly national radio address on Saturday the President and Mrs.Clinton encouraged children around the nation to write letters to the children of Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City Mayor's Office has agreed to receive and forward such letters. They should be addressed to: For the Children c/oMr. Rick Moore Assistant to the Mayor 200 North Walker Suite 302 Oklahoma City OK 73102 For details on these or other federal response and recovery matters contact FEMA's Office of Emergency Information and Public affairs at (202) 646-4600. --Boundary (ID oHiz8bXhYq8Wl/H4/4jUcg)-- | |
