Training Workshop for Community Oversight Groups at Federal Facilities

 JUNE 2-4, 1995

 To be held at
 San Francisco State Unviersity

 San Francisco Urban Institute

Some of the areas that will be covered include specific challenges at 
active and closing bases, pollution prevention, risk assessment, how 
current budget cuts will affect the cleanup process, how legislation in 
congress impacts the process, Toxic Release Inventory and Right to 
Know, some of the challenges of re-use as it relates to cleanup, and 
how to outreach to a wide cross section of communities.

We are structuring the workshop so that there will be both breakout 
sessions and plenary sessions. Our goal is to have a conference that is 
both interactive and informative.

The conference will begin Friday evening with an overview of what to 
expect from the conference, followed by a reception. Saturday is a 
full day of plenaries and break-out groups. Sunday is scheduled to run 
until 2pm.

The conference is free of charge for anyone who would like to attend. 
We are able to provide a limited number of travel and lodging 
scholarships for two people per RAB. Scholarships are awarded on a 
first come first serve basis.
