House Nat'l Security Com. Proposes to Amend Enviro St

HR 1778, the Defense Reform Act, is likely to be voted in full 
committee next Wednesday (July 11, 1997). Several national 
environmental organizations will ask the Committee to delete the 
environmental provisions. Telephone calls and faxes to members of the 
House National Security Committee on Monday and Tuesday to delete the 
provisions are essential.

Chair of the Committee is Floyd Spence (R-SC). Ranking Minority Member 
is Ron Dellums (D-California).
