Compensating cranberry growers for lost profits is not wrong, but where is the discussion of likely harm to people who DID buy previous contaminated crops and ate them? Just because these possibly contaminated victims of the MMR toxic-waste plumes have already compensated the cranberry growers by buying their crops in previous years, are they out of this discussion? I hope not! But I suspect that's the bottom line. Individual payments do not seem practical or appropriate. What does? | |
