Subject: | PCB Levels |
I am doing research about establishing cleanup standards at a DOE Superfund site. Does anyone have experience with PCB cleanup levels that are stricter than TSCA (25 ppm, 1 ppm), given concerns about dioxin/furan and co-planars. If one were going to sample the PCBs for the above constituents, what detection limits would be required? How many samples of a localized spill would be necessary? Also, does anyone have information on the status of remediation technology, other than incineration, for destruction or containment of PCBs, and dioxins/furans. Any experience at DoD facilities would be most helpful. Thanks, Peter Strauss |
