Subject: | Seeking feedback on experiences with ATSDR |
The people in Memphis, Tennessee have been having a very difficult time with ATSDR too. Our Environmental Justice Group DDMT-CCC has managed to get ATSDR to revisit the Public Health Assessment previously done on the Defense Depot, a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). But more importantly, I am one of the nine community people on the Community and Tribal Subcommittee (CMT), an advisory board, for ATSDR. I, along with other community members, give imput and advice to the Board of Scientific Counslors that has to report to the Congress of the United States on health issues. I need imput on your communities problems -- especially with federal facilities (Army, Navay, and Air Force facilities), as various problems with federal facilities to better do my job. If you have had problems with ATSDR, now is the time to inform me your problem. Next week, I will go to Atlanta, Georgia for the CTS meeting. I would like to add your problems with ATSDR to mine, as my experiences with other federal facilities indicate that problems with ATSDR are systemic. DORIS BRADSHAW 1458 E MALLORY AVE.
