MOSCOW, April 9 (Reuters) - Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov savagely
criticised NATO military strategy in Yugoslavia on Friday while slapping
down suggestions that Russia had aimed nuclear missiles at countries in
the military alliance.

He reiterated Russia's belief that NATO was preparing for a ground
offensive in Yugoslavia and said there was evidence that the military
alliance had started to use weapons which contained "radioactive
components" in Yugoslavia.

"Yugoslavia and the whole region have been put on the verge of a serious
environmental disaster."
