This info is from the Interstate Technology Regulatory Cooperation (ITRC) organization. Contact Rick Tomlinson. ITRC Program Director, at rickt@sso.org for additional information. --Susan Gawarecki ITRC AND AFBC In a precedent-setting arrangement with federal and state environmental regulators, ITRC and the Air Force Base Conversion Agency have formally agreed to partner in a joint effort that will facilitate the deployment of the Diffusion Sampler. The partnership has grown out of the ongoing efforts of ITRC's Diffusion Sampler Protocol Team working with the U.S. Geological Survey and other federal agencies. The Diffusion Sampler technology is estimated to be as much as 70% cheaper than conventional methods while still producing accurate samples and even better samples in certain cases. A press release is available at www.itrcweb.org . INTERNET TRAINING A related and timely news item is that we're launching our Diffusion Sampler Internet-based training course in June with courses planned for: June 12, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. EDT June 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT To register, go to www.itrcweb.org and select "Internet Training." -- .....................................................
