No environmental relief for military By KEVIN DENNEHY STAFF WRITER A congressional subcommittee deleted some provisions from a spending bill that would exempt America's military from a litany of environmental laws, including parts of the Clean Water Act and the federal Superfund Act. The proposed military readiness package - which will be reviewed today by the full House Armed Services Committee - still includes exemptions from parts of the Endangered Species Act and the Migratory Birds Act.
