Regardless of what type of documentation or legal decisions are being
discussed (in order to create more laws on the books) stakeholder
participation MUST have a 'front row seat' during these round table
discussions. Language must be changed regarding stakeholder concerns,
particularly due to RODs, IC's, etc. affecting one main segment of
society- the stakeholder. Too often language regarding stakeholder
participation is nothing more than a 'cya' for the regulated and/or
regulators. This is a common complaint for most stakeholders and would
appear the only time stakeholder concerns
are 'validated seriously' is when lawsuits result from such
invalidation.
