The stakeholders of Orange County did a wonderful job and have hopefully started a trend of community involvement to STOP any military sites from going 'public' till they are fully cleaned up.
Hopefully this will also 'push' the regulators and regulated to start
using new and innovative methodologies (like horizontal wells with large bioremediations system in situ for the sites that demand such instead of vertical wells with a treatment system that lasts for 30+ years raising the costs so astronomically that one could retire from such a contract).

The people/stakeholders of Orange County, CA showed what effort can
acomplish against the odds!
