Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] Farewell to family farm |
Farewell to family farm By David Madrid The Arizona Republic Oct. 28, 2002 Unless something dramatic happens, Sunday was not only the last day of the Pumpkin Festival, but also the end of Duncan Family Farms. Duncan Farms, at the corner of Cotton Lane and Indian School Road, has been closed to the public after it was discovered that the farm was in the Luke Air Force Base accident potential zone, over which all the F-16s with live arms take off. For Kathleen and Arnott Duncan, it looks to be the end of 11 years of hard work. There will be no more farm tours. No more Pumpkin Festivals.
