[CPEO-MEF] California cuts

After first hearing of the State Water Board personnel cuts a week or so
ago, Rep. Farr (D-Carmel) brought the matter to the attention of California
Governor Davis' office.  Last week Rep. Farr was verbally assured that the
cuts would be reversed and today we received written (e-mail) communication
from the Governor's staff that the "State Water Board has reversed the
personnel cutbacks."  So, CA is back on track for the  Corps to continue its
clean-up work at FUDS sites.
