Stryker hearings set for next month

The Big Island will play a significant role in the transformation of the
Army into a highly mobile, fast - reacting force.

A pair of Big Island public hearings will allow the public to comment on
Hawaii becoming a base for a Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

Public hearings are planned at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at Waikoloa Beach Marriott
Resort, and Nov. 6 at Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Meeting rooms will open at
5:30 p.m. with an informal open house.
