Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council's (ITRC) Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Team has recently published a new document, Munitions Response Historical Records Review. This document is a guide for regulators, stakeholders, and others involved in oversight or review of munitions response historical records review projects on munitions response sites. For more information or to order this document, please see the ITRC web site, www.itrcweb.org.

The UXO Team has also developed an Internet training to familiarize participants with the document and historical records reviews. This training will be conducted on June 22nd, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. EASTERN time. Registration information for the ITRC's "no cost" courses is available at: www.itrcweb.org; click on "Internet-based Training". Also, you can download the ITRC technical and regulatory guidance documents that are the basis for the training materials; click on "Guidance Documents". Course registration opens 4-6 weeks prior to each course offering. These ITRC courses are delivered via our partnership with USEPA TIP on their website at www.clu-in.org/studio/. Contact Mary Yelken at myelken@earthlink.net or 402-325-9615 for additional information.

The ITRC offers a wide variety of documents and Internet-based training courses on innovative environmental technologies and approaches specific to the areas of site characterization, monitoring and remediation. ITRC is a state-led coalition working together with industry and stakeholders to achieve regulatory acceptance of environmental technologies. ITRC is a program of the Environmental Research Institute of the States (ERIS), a nonprofit corporation operating in support of the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS).

Please pass this notice on to anyone who would benefit from this training. Thank you.
