Proposition 100 Effort to allow state trust land swaps revisited By Doug Murphy Ahwatukee Foothills News October 9, 2004 Proposition 100 would amend Arizona's constitution so that the State Land Department could trade land for other public land of equal or greater value. If the wording sounds familiar it's because voters have defeated the same type of proposal five times since 1992. The proposition is identical to Proposition 101 that voters defeated in 2002 with one exception, the addition of the words "or to assist in preserving military airports in the state."
