Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] Funding Availabe for Wide Area Assessment Demo Projects |
Department of Defense Funding Available for Wide Area Assessment Demonstration Projects on UXO-Contaminated Sites The Department of Defense, through the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP), will be funding projects to conduct demonstrations of wide area assessment technologies at UXO-contaminated sites. Proposals are requested to demonstrate and validate (1) data collection assets and methodologies, and/or (2) analysis and decision support tools that can significantly reduce the total cost of remediation of large sites partially contaminated with UXO and provide the basis for more sound and defensible risk projections for planning remediation activities. ESTCP intends to fund multiple demonstration projects, starting in 2005. Projects will be selected through a competitive selection process. The demonstrations will be conducted at multiple sites representing a range of ordnance and site conditions. This solicitation was released on November 18, and PRE-PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY DECEMBER 22, 2004. Detailed instructions for federal and private sector submissions are available on the ESTCP web site at www.estcp.org/opportunities/solicitations. We've Moved!
