I could not access the link for the diseases...help! I can only hope that as more communities become aware of the damage done to their bodies and that of their children by the contamination left behind by the military and our government including total disregard (please, no emails excusing the military-only someone in complete and total denial would argue this point) of the same will cause all of us to refuse to be victimized as well as hypnotized by the endless rhetoric of financial feasibility (the Eglin Air Force Base was just awarded 500,000 from the Pentagon to build a MOP weighing 30,000 lbs)and all the other 'smoke screens'. I wondered back in 1997 and I still wonder the same - how many community members will have to die before the military and government will finally become accountable and responsible? I once believed it would be UXO's exploding but it appears it will the chemicals in the ground and groundwater. In either case, I still wonder how those in 'command' live with such knowledge and still do nothing about it?
