Bentley Geospatial (http://www.be.org/) reports that Part 2A of the Environmental Protection Act of the United Kingdom places responsibility for investigating potentially contaminated areas on local authorities. Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council (OMBC) is featured in the article.

 

OMBC centralized their geospatial and pollution information using Bentley software.

 

What is the trend in the United States? Will EPA and RAB clean up actions eventually fall on local officials?
