This time, a small number of communities are planning ahead. Here's one. - LS] N.H. firm to lead BNAS study Town picks team with extensive experience in the realignment and closure of military bases. Christopher_Cousins Brunswick Times-Record (ME) February 1, 2005 BRUNSWICK - The town has chosen RKG Associates Inc., a Durham, N.H.-based company, to lead the development of a re-use plan for Brunswick Naval Air Station, a precaution town officials believe they must take if the base is closed or realigned this year by the federal government. Assistant Town Manager Patricia Harrington, who is handling issues related to the Base Realignment and Closure Commission process, said the RKG Associates-led team was chosen because of the skills of its personnel and the fact that the firm has been heavily involved in projects at other New England bases. "They've done this before, and they have experience in this region," Harrington said on Monday. "They have a very strong team." ...
